Kisho and I go WAY back. He started this really awesome gothic industrial rock band called MDM in the mid-90's and at first I actually didn't like him at all. But years later we started hanging out at a night club called Red Square, which was owned by my then Defence Mechanism band mate Paul K.
After playing a few shows together Kisho informed me that MDM's guitarist Tim was moving to Ottawa and they needed a replacement. So I joined MDM for their remaining years on guitar and sometimes bass.
After MDM became a thing of the past Kisho, his brother Rick, and former MDM guitarist Dennis started a new sludgy southern gothic rock band called The Electric Dead and they're awesome!
I'm super jazzed Kisho signed on for this song. He's a rad dude.
lyrics
Living in your shadow
Grown up with fear disguised as love
Brave new world before me
Will I ever be enough
RISE!
Channeling all I offer
Only to be chastised by your hate
Something’s out of order
And now it’s time to claim my fate
RISE! RISE!
I will not let you hurt
RISE! RISE!
I will not let you win
Crumbling upon me
Bearing the weight of all your guilt
Prevail and rise above this
The damaged soul that you have built
RISE! RISE!
I will not let you hurt me
RISE! RISE!
I will not let you win
RISE! RISE!
I will break free from your grip
RISE! RISE!
And let the day begin

This album should be ranked very high in ranks of latest industrial albums, because it just crushes the competition. THIS is how it's done people. Menacing vocals, pounding drums and haunting electronics have no mercy on your ears and leave you with not one second of peace. Play this loud and do people around you a service.

Saw Kanga last night in Houston , instantly was entranced by her sound , sucked me into the Kangakult vortex , so glad I got to see her live , should have looked into her sooner as Gary Numan was so supportive of her on the Revolution tour , oh now it’s time to catch up and get further involved Callum Gray
